Experience
Mark regularly represents clients in cases involving minimum wage and overtime laws, employment discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower protection laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, restrictive covenants (non-competition and non-solicitation agreements), trade secret laws, and breach of employment contract. Mark also represents employers and employees before federal and state agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the U.S. Department of Labor, and the National Labor Relations Board. Mark has handled a wide range of litigation in federal and state courts, including employment class actions, business disputes, and litigation under Title III of the ADA.
Before relocating to South Florida, Mark worked in Northern Virginia for a public interest legal defense organization where he represented employees in civil rights, employment, labor, and personal injury claims against labor unions at the trial and appellate level in federal and state courts and before state labor boards and the National Labor Relations Board. Since moving to South Florida, Mark has practiced with several large firms, including Duane Morris, Epstein Becker & Green, and Fisher & Phillips where he represented clients in a range of industries in labor and employment disputes, class and collective actions, and commercial litigation.
Prior to law school, Mark practiced for several years as a certified public accountant with a multinational accounting firm specializing in auditing financial institutions and mergers and acquisitions.
Education
Mark holds law degrees from Seton Hall University School of Law (J.D., with honors) and Columbia University School of Law (LL.M.). He received his B.S. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his M.B.A. from Florida Institute of Technology.
